Caterpillar
(Infants)
We will give your baby a loving, calm and comforting environment for your baby to grow and develop into their own little person. This room as many transitions as your child will learn to sit up, crawl, explore new things, go from drinking a bottle to a sippy cup, eating baby food to eating table food and many other very important milestones while in this 1st room. Every family will be able to dictate their child’s schedule through the intake form and daily communication with the Infant room teacher. Open communication is very important since your baby is changing all the time. The babies will go on daily stroller rides (weather permitting) and will be able to explore outdoors or simply just get some fresh air. We will be there to help your baby learn and explore while giving you a sense of reassurance when you have to go to leave.
Butterflies
(1 Years Old)
Your baby is more mobile now and starting to walk, so they are beginning to be more independent but still need a lot of one on one with their teachers. This room will offer more learning toys and different experiences that will help them develop their fine motor and large motor skills. This room will have their own outside space (shared with the infants) to give them the sense of security while learning to explore outside. Each toddler will still be on their own schedule and will be given a daily sheet at the end of the night.
Ladybugs
(2 Years Old)
In this room the days become a little more structured. With daily art projects and sensory exploration, your toddler will explore colors and shapes. Your toddler will have plenty of time to discover the outside with walks and in a playground built just for them. We promote the potty chair, if your toddler shows readiness, even if its just for their curiosity. Communication is made easy with our HiMama app, allowing you to stay in real time contact with your little girl or guy’s teacher.
Dragonflies
(2.5 Years Old)
Children in this room learn by doing and using all of their senses. They will continue with their structured days and begin to eat in the lunchroom with the older classrooms. Circle time is introduced with songs and counting. Your child will enjoy books on tape and finger puppet shows. Pretend play, interactive learning experiences and communication skills are highly promoted during their time in this room. Although, your child will continue parallel play they are becoming more aware of their friends and interested in what their peers are doing. This helps your child to expand their language and work on problem solving. Potty training continues with the option for children to try every half hour.
Bumblebees
(3 Years Old)
Your child will continue to grow through a play based curriculum and learn how to play with their friends more cooperatively. They will also use a curriculum called Mother Goose Time which is professionally developed to be implemented for pre-k ages that offers skill based activities and art-infused approaches to learning. It can be customized to the group/child ability. This includes a monthly theme with sub-categories every week and offers family connection materials that links learning from school to home. The three year old will start to learn letters and begin to write them through different sensory environments (shaving cream, playdoh, sand), learn how to cut and start math concepts.
Fireflies
(3 & 4 Years Old)
This room helps your child prepare and be ready for 4K, as they will be going the following Fall. Your three or four-year-old is already used to rules and routines but they are now expressing more independence. During circle time the children will learn their letters and numbers 1-10. They start to pick classroom helpers which is a fun way for the kids to feel empowered in their room. During their time in the Fireflies, children will learn how to correctly hold a pencil, cut and recognize the letters in their name. Projects become more child do oriented and playing together, with friends really takes off. Friendships are starting to become important and the children enjoy seeing each other every day!
Grasshoppers
(4 & 5 Years Old)
When your child gets to the grasshopper classroom that means they are in 4K and getting ready for kindergarten. The children will spend most of their morning in the 4K room Monday through Thursday but will spend the rest of the day in the wrap room. This is where they will continue to socialize and spend time with friends but also continue to work on some of the things they are learning during the morning. They will spend lots of time outside and completely art crafts to fill the afternoon. They will spend the whole day on Friday in the grasshopper room as well where it is a little less structured then either morning routine. The children continue to create great relationships with their classmates and have so much fun making memories.
